Community Involvement

Home is where the heart is, which is why it’s important for Mercedes-Benz Winnipeg to support charitable organizations and initiatives in our community.

Through volunteering opportunities, charitable donations and workplace campaigns, we connect with those around us to help give back and grow stronger.

It’s important to give back to our community, which was the driving force behind launching our Mercedes-Benz Winnipeg Pay It Forward Program.

Click below to see where we’ve gone, and what we’ve done:

We had a blast at the Red River Ex spreading joy by handing out free ride tickets to kids and families spending the day at the Ex. What’s better than free rides?

Experience the spirit of Earth Day with us! Join our team as we embark on a mission to clean up our neighbor’s parking lot, proving that small actions can lead to significant environmental impact. Together, we’re making a difference.

It’s Spring Break in Winnipeg. Parents are looking for fun, engaging activities to keep their children occupied. Our Pay It Forward crew partnered with the Manitoba Children’s Museum to cover admission fees for families looking for a day of fun, laughter and hands-on learning.

Our Pay It Forward crew visited our good friends at Food Fare to pay for people’s groceries. The smiles and hugs made for such a wonderful day! Thank you Food Fare for hosting us!

Spring is all about fresh air and new beginnings, so for our special Spring Break Pay It Forward, we drove our fully electric EQS over to The Leaf at Assiniboine Park, where we surprised a number of people with free admission! ❤️🌿

For Nurses Week and International Nurses Day, our Pay It Forward Team stopped by the Adult Emergency Department at Health Sciences Centre to hand out some gift cards! Thank you for everything you do!!! ❤️🙏👩‍⚕️👨‍⚕️

We love supporting our community. Giving back is important to Mercedes-Benz Winnipeg. We stopped by our local Food Fare to pick up groceries for those in need! We are so grateful for organizations like Harvest Manitoba who are leaders in our community.

For Valentine’s Day we wanted to show some extra special love for some extra special people, so our Pay It Forward Crew paid a visit to the legendary staff at St. Boniface Hospital! Their onsite food services were able to create custom cookies and coffee that we could provide to their hard working staff. Thank you so much for all you do!

We provided hampers to 5 Winnipeg families, offering hope and helping to make sure everyone experienced the magic of the holiday season!

With our harsh Winnipeg winters, we wanted to take our Pay It Forward crew and hand out some much needed mittens and toques to help our community keep warm.

Thank you to Virgin Radio Winnipeg and Bounce Radio 99.9 for the amazing opportunity, to use our Pay It Forward initiative and deliver socks for Main Street Project in support of the wonderful work they do!

For our second Pay It Forward adventure, we decided TWO stops were in order! First, we paid a visit to Cobs Bread Bakery on Corydon and picked up a plethora of pastries. It was hard to leave after smelling the amazing smells, but we were on a mission to drive some miles and see more smiles! 🙂🙂🙂We arrived at our final destination, Sisler High School, where we were met with some of Winnipeg’s finest teachers, who needed a much deserved morning break. 🍩🥐☕

Thank you so much to Cobs Bread Bakery and Sisler High School for allowing us to Pay It Forward!

With skyrocketing gas prices, we wanted to get out there and show some combustible love to our fellow Winnipeggers. What better way than to hand out some tank-filling gas cards?

Our inaugural Pay It Forward outing – helping out the local community by paying for their groceries!

Ice cream ice cream we all scream for ice cream! When it’s hot out, there’s nothing like the sweet taste of ice cold ice cream. Our Pay It Forward crew took the opportunity to head out on a blazing afternoon and treat some of our amazing, hardworking citizens to a little taste of heaven!

As a Supporting Partner for this year’s Wildest Dreams event at Assiniboine Park, we were able to help provide a once-in-a-lifetime Zoo experience for children and families facing health and/or socio-economic challenges.Being a part of this magical evening with other local organizations and contributors exemplifies what we can do when we come together!

Our Pay it Forward program brought us to Isaac Newton School for I Love To Read Month! We delivered a mountain of books for their school library, and got to meet their amazingly inspirational Principal, Mr. Rezai!

Our Pay It Forward Team recently had a chance to help out Ronald McDonald House Charities Manitoba with moving into their spectacular brand new home. We brought some things with us to help get them started, had a wonderful tour that showcased the state-of-the-art functionality of the entire space, and then spent some time helping with organizing and even putting together some exercise equipment!

This Pay it Forward is extra special to us because it’s for the kids. This week we rounded up a few of our employees and went shopping for coats. The coats we purchased will be given to kids in need! If you’ve ever been to Winnipeg in the winter, you know how absolutely necessary a warm winter coat is! We can’t begin to describe how meaningful it feels to help out the kids in our community.

Our Pay It Forward Team recently had the opportunity to drop off some coffee and snacks to two hard working teams at Habitat for Humanity! Habitat for Humanity is an organization that helps low income families build strength, stability, and independence through affordable home ownership! We love the community that Habitat for Humanity fosters, and we are so grateful to be able to support them in a small way.

The weather outside is frightful, so we reached out to Main Street Project to see if our Pay It Forward program could be of some help. Their biggest request was adult-sized gloves and mittens, as many of their patrons were having to wear socks on their hands to fight the frigidly cold weather. We were honoured to be able to help them out!

For Valentine’s Day our Pay It Forward team was excited to hand deliver Valentine’s Day Treats to the residents at two Personal Care Homes in Winnipeg. Thank you so much for allowing us into your homes! ❤️❤️❤️

Everyone has been affected by rising food prices, so our staff helped to fill some boxes with food items, and our Pay It Forward Team filled a cart of groceries at Food Fare. Onwards we went to Harvest Manitoba for the drop off, where we were met with open arms and a tonne of smiles!

As we endeavor to bring positive, measurable change to our community, we look forward to our continued participation in supporting the people and organizations that surround us.
